GreenCity Wholefoods has been informed by the FSA, and the local authorities, that a precautionary product recall is required for the Gaudiano Cranberry stuffed Olives; no other Gaudiano products have been affected. Whilst there is no cause for alarm at present we would ask that if you have any of this product in any size of jar (314ml or 580ml) that you refrain from consuming this product and contact us at GreenCity to arrange a return. We have attempted to contact all our customers, whom have purchased this product, however if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

In this instance we are operating on a precautionary basis; we want to assure our customers that product recalls of varying degrees of severity are not uncommon within the Food Industry, and therefore GreenCity has well established mechanisms for dealing with such recalls.

Greencity Wholefoods is working closely with our partner in Italy . Gaudiano and the relevant authorities in the UK in relation to the batch of olives stuffed with almonds contaminated with botulinum toxin.
Greencity can report that there has been no reported incidence of botulism from the 40 jars imported and sold in Scotland from September 2010 and that there remains no stock on sale. No other Gaudiano products have been affected. If you or any of your customers suspect you have any of the contaminated batch, please dispose of them immediately. We have attempted to contact all our customers, whom have purchased this product, however if you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
